A Message from ALL TERRAIN

Good Morning to you!!!

I know we all get emails asking for donations for great causes . I promise you this is one of them! BUT!!! I am only looking for $10 bucks AND you get 15-20% off everything in Bloomingdales on October 29th. So what’s $10 bucks in the grand scheme of life? A drink or two, a binge at the Taco Bell take out window..box of condoms. None of those things are supposed to be related by the way. Here are the details…. (Oh and holiday shopping is upon us).

Some of you may be already be aware of our (Hilarious) Dude We Can Fix It campaign (http://www.dudewecanfixit.com/) All Terrain started this program to raise funds for We Can Solve it. The We Campaign is a project of The Alliance for Climate Protection -- founded by Nobel laureate and former Vice President Al Gore. The goal of the Alliance is to build a movement to solve the climate crisis -- in part through repowering America with 100 percent of its electricity from clean energy sources within 10 years. All Terrain has raised a nice chuck of change for this cause via viral videos and small grass roots events like this on. So back to the shopping!!!

Here’s what you get for just $10 bucks, besides my love and admiration and peace of mind that you are helping the planet (every little bit helps)! Dude We Can Fix it is excited to have gained the support of Bloomingdale’s! We will be one of 60 local non-profit organizations participating in Bloomingdale’s The Shopping Benefit is on Thursday, October 29th. Bloomingdale’s provides each charity free shopping tickets to be sold for $10 each, with all proceeds benefiting the non-profit organization! The purchaser will then receive 15-20% off their entire purchase throughout the entire store for one day only on Thursday, October 29th (limited exclusions apply). (North Michigan Ave, Oakbrook, Old Orchard and the Medinah Temple)

The more tickets we sell the more money we get from Bloomingdales (After we reach 75 we get bonus cash). So I need YOU to buy as many shopping tickets as possible! So be sure to tell all your friends and family and spread the word. Tickets may be purchased directly from me for a $10 donation, cash or check made payable to Alliance for Climate Protection. Tickets may also be purchased by forwarding your donation receipt from the Alliance for Climate Protection to dudewecanfixit@allterrain.net. People who purchase through the website will receive their shopping ticket in the mail prior to the event. I will personally hand deliver your tickets to you or drop them off at your home or office.

I want to get a shopping party together and head to Bloomies as a shopping wrecking crew on the 29th. Let me know who is in!! I appreciate your support and thank you so much for helping me out in advance!

Xoxo Brook

No one ever wished they watched more TV on their death bed - The Adult Brat Test

Brats are people that take things for granted.

Taking something for granted means you do not fear the loss of something.

The status of your health can dramatically change from one second to the next. You're computer could explode while you're reading this and take your head clean off your shoulders, you could step outside and get taken out by a bus, or you could even roll your ankle soo bad that you'll never walk normally again. You could come down with a bad case of DEATH which could kill you or you could break your hand bad enough to never grip anything again. Cancer, AIDS, Ebola, the list goes on and on. Dont take it for granted, the human body is the most amazing piece of machinery you will own (other than a hot tub, of course.). So, are you someone who lives their life very aware that your health and body can be lost at any given moment in time??

With this being such an obvious reality, stop and re-evaluate....."Am I An Adult Brat?"

Taking into account 193,000,000 people in the US are overweight the answer points ominously to YES!

$20 semi-privates for the month of October @ the West Loop Gym - Stop being an ungrateful brat TODAY!

All or Nothing

So, last night in bed I was reading Cosmo eating low fat yogurt in my favorite pair of pajamas when I stumbled upon one of those fabulous quizzes. It was titled "All or Nothing: Which one are you?" I couldn't resist. I pulled out my favorite Hello Kitty pen and went to work. 15 minutes later I had an absolute sneak preview to who Valentino Ortiz really was. Turns out I'm the guy that jumps into a cold pool as opposed to easing in slowly. I'll bet most of my money on three bets as oppose to gambling for hours. If I was to go out for a cocktail- the police WILL be called later that night. So on and so forth.

Is this a good thing or bad thing? As an, "All in" type of guy my answer should be obvious. No person has crossed the finish line to greatness without barreling forward head first.

As far as exercise is concerned, I do believe it is an all or nothing activity. Very much like gambling with the household grocery money. Either you're going to come back home with all the groceries you were sent out for PLUS some extra change; or you're going to have to move in to your buddy's one bedroom apartment with an agenda to take over the dog's spot on the couch.

What I'm trying to say is if you want to be healthy - be healthy. Make the decision, put it all on Black, tell the bartender to just bring you the bottle of Tequila, cannonball into the freezing cold pool, dance a dance you don't know how to dance, or just get to the gym, figure out what to do, and do it.

It's kind of like Angelina Jolie always says, "It's all or nothing with my makeup. If I get dressed up, I'll go to an extreme. I'll wear foundation, bright blue or bright red lipstick with one of my weird purple wigs.

I couldn't have put it any better myself.....

Help is here....

Please be advised that all info, opinions, jokes, tips, and advice are generated through the eyes of a young man whose sole purpose was realized early. That purpose was to help other people; constructively. Helping others seems the obvious path to happiness. So, through these posts I'm sharing the knowledge that I considered valuable enough to absorb and utilize. All in the attempt to help others while still building upon the ever evolving being which is, Tino.
As a great woman once told me, "Take everything people tell you with a grain of salt." Enjoy....
